The Folsom Museum is the original home of the Folsom Man Site we have information on the Folsom point, location of, and bones from the site. We also have information on the local black cowboy, George McJunkin who discovered the site. |

The Folsom Museum is also the official home for information on the Folsom Flood of August 27,1908 and the heroic actions of telephone operator, Sara Rooke. |

Black Jack Ketchum, a notorious train robber has made his mark on our museum as well. We house both original photographs and newspapers chronicling his capture near Folsom and demise by hanging. |

The town of Folsom sits at the cross roads of the Aubry cutoff to the Santa-Fe trail and the Goodnight-Loving Cattle drive trail. Our displays include a piano abandoned by pioneers on the Santa-Fe trail and we house information on the cattle industry. |

The Dolph Law Office from Clayton, New Mexico has been move and reconstructed within our museum. |

The museum is housed in the Doherty General store. Many of our exhibits are displayed in and on the original fixtures of that store. |
